This Privacy Policy explains how Cactus Media Producties ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile app Gymbook (the "App"). Gymbook is built to be privacy-friendly: there is no account, no sign-up, and we never ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
Everything you enter in the App is stored only on your own device, in the App's local storage:
We do not have access to this data and it is not uploaded to any server operated by us. It is removed when you delete the App or use "Delete all data" in Settings.
When you search for a product or scan a barcode, the App sends your search text or the barcode number to Open Food Facts, a free and open food database, to fetch product information. No personal data is included in these requests. Open Food Facts may log standard technical data such as your IP address. See their privacy policy at world.openfoodfacts.org/privacy.
The camera is used only to scan product barcodes when you choose to do so. No photos or video are stored or transmitted.
The App is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect a device advertising identifier and technical app-usage data to deliver and measure ads. Google acts as an independent controller for that data. See policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Users in the EU, EEA and UK are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served. You can choose non-personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time via "Ad privacy settings" in the App's Settings.
You can remove ads with a one-time purchase. The purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. The stores may share a purchase confirmation with our purchase-verification provider so the App can unlock the ad-free version and restore it on a new device.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or health data from other apps. The App does not use analytics or crash-reporting services that identify you.
Gymbook is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Because your data stays on your device, you are in full control of it: you can view, edit, export and delete everything from within the App. For advertising data held by Google, please use Google's controls and the in-app ad privacy settings. Under the GDPR you also have the right to contact us with any privacy question or request.
Calorie goals, calculated needs and product data are estimates and may be inaccurate. The App does not provide medical or dietary advice. Consult a professional before changing your diet or training.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly.
